Testimonials

One:

“I think this is one of “the” highlights of my life.  The others being getting married (39 years), the birth of my 3 girls, the birth of their kids, scuba diving, skydiving, and 10 marathons.  With that said this ranks right up there.  First, Roger, Mzungu, was first class. Always and I mean always their to help or answer questions, accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. Gracious in giving credit and encouragement.

This expedition lifted me to another level. I bought everything that Roger suggested and that I could afford and he was right on the money.  I would not change a thing that I bought.

The people helped make me better.  I observed some amazing feats by my fellow lady explorers such as changing out in total darkness lenes, extenders, batteries, memory sticks etc. unbelievable what was accomplished in seconds. Both Beth and Joani were true explorers and adventurers.  I thank them for making me better and showing what could be done because I would not have tried it. We all worked together and helped out when we could.

The Magnificent 7 review was invaluable and should be continued.  This exercise forced us to pick what we thought was the best at the time. This was real time bush decision making. No I will get back to you stuff.  We could have used a little more of this during the expedition in hindsight.  I learned a lot and most importantly saw things I did not see before in photos. Such as if the head of a person is aligned with the horizon or if an animal was in the foreground of a ditch or embankment which does not make for a good background.  Roger is very big on Background!

I would encourage those who hesitate or are unsure if Roger is the guy to go with let me tell you go with Roger. He is well connected with the locals in Kenya and parts of Africa.  He is the real deal.  No BS.  Call me if you wish. 310-395-8954.

Whatever the price you will come out of it a better person, photographer and memories!

If I had the means and opportunity I would go with Roger “Mzungu” Moore again.

I had no medical issues- food and accommodations were excellent.”

“Attention Photographers and Adventurers!  A Roger Moore Kenyan Photo Safari is the way to go!  Roger “Mzungu” Moore has definitely spoiled me for other safaris. Everything is planned out mainly with the idea of being where we are most likely to see a variety of wildlife and their behavior. We were lucky enough to see a good portion of Kenya and its culture in only 10 days. The luxurious acommodations, the delicious meals, and the gracious Kenyan people can only be rivaled by 5 star hotels and restaurants. Roger is an accomplished photographer, who genuinely enjoys teaching lessons in photography. If you would like to learn about photography at any level, Roger “Mzungu” Moore is the teacher for you!  Roger makes everyone feel comfortable and has a great sense of humor.  This was truly a magnificent experience!”

  • REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE

Roger "Mzungu" Moore (Explorers Club, 2006) with his mentor, H. Morgan Smith (Explorers Club, 1954) Studying medicinal botanicals in the rainforest - Amazon River - Peru - July, 2005

My experience as a guide and leader comes not just from books, but rather from many years of personal explorations worldwide. I am an active member of The Explorers Club, an organization founded in 1904, with President Teddy Roosevelt. Our members have carried the Explorers Club Flag on many of the historical "Famous Firsts" of world exploration such as: Robert Peary at the North Pole (1909), Roald Amundsen at the South Pole (1911), Edmund Hillary at the summit of Mount Everest (1953), Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh at the Marianas Trench, Greatest Ocean Depth (1960), and Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins as the first on the surface of the moon (1969). In addition, I am an active member of the Adventurers Club of Chicago, an organization founded in 1912. The Adventurers Club flag has been carried to the summit of Mount Ararat and the Matterhorn, in the Amazon jungles and over the Humac Mountains into Brazil from French Guiana, to Antarctica and the length of the Mackenzie River to the Arctic, rivers of the Nile and Congo, river runs of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado and El Sumidero Canyon of Mexico, to the "Lost World in Venezuela", the jungles of New Guinea, outback in Australia, on small craft to numerous islands of the Pacific and many other places. In other words, you can feel comfortable and safe with me as your guide because I have been "down the river" many times myself. via Roger Moore Photography Biography.
